Nicholas Harding
A previous winner of the Archibald Prize and the Dobell Drawing Prize, Nicholas Harding has held numerous sell-out solo exhibitions throughout Australia.
He is known for his thickly layered impasto oil paintings, watercolours, and large-scale ink drawings. Working predominately in landscape painting, Harding is also an acclaimed portraiture artist. Taking inspiration from Australian flora and fauna, Harding’s works demonstrate a fascination with life and nature and his technical skill as a draughtsman and painter.
Harding has been included in major exhibitions at the National Trust’s S.H. Ervin Gallery, the National Portrait Gallery and the Art Gallery of New South Wales. His work is held in Australian collections including the Art Gallery of New South Wales, the National Gallery of Australia and the National Portrait Gallery, and in private and corporate collections in Australia, Singapore, the UK and the USA.
