Boardman joins artists and academics David Humphrey, Kylie Banyard and Peter Alwast for a panel discussion ‘Why Painting Now?’ to discuss key ideas around the relevance of contemporary painting, its challenges as well as focus on the joys and trials of keeping an active artistic practice and career sustainable over the long term. The audience will have the opportunity to hear how practising artists and academics negotiate the complex terrain of contemporary art, while seeking to keep open the potential for discovery and surprise in their research and practice.
